We’re just a couple of weeks away from the start of ISSC 2023 and we could not be more excited – we hope your racers are looking forward to getting out to Sestriere too.
So, what can we expect from ISSC 2023?
Snow Camp athletes in attendance
Just like you, we’re really passionate about the positive impact that snow sports can have on a young person’s life.
So, we’re thrilled to announce that Halsbury will be sponsoring three young skiers from Snow Camp to compete at ISSC 2023!
Snow Camp is an absolutely fantastic charity that turns young lives around through the power of snow sports.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Snow Camp’s programmes and courses range from introductory sessions for beginners to fully qualified snow sports instructor qualifications.
As well as learning to ski or snowboard, Snow Camp also offers young people access to life skills training and mental health support. The training takes place at indoor training centres across the UK, and they take a group out to the mountains once a year too.
We’re really looking forward to welcoming our Snow Camp skiers to this year’s event.
Roll out of bed and onto the slopes!
We’ve moved a little closer to the slopes this year – we’ll all be staying in the TH Sestriere Villaggio Olimpico.
Built to house the Olympic athletes for the 2006 Winter Olympics, this hotel is literally across the road from the lifts and offers excellent facilities for skiers, including ski storage and ski hire, as well as an indoor pool, gym and wellness area.
For a start, you’ll be staying in one of the 245 spacious mini apartments, all with two separate sleeping areas for up to 4 guests and bathroom.
And you won’t go hungry – the on-site restaurant, which specialises in Italian and Piemontese cuisine, serves buffet-style meals, so everyone can have as much as they like.
An action-packed après-ski programme
We don’t want to give too much away, but you can look forward to an action-packed après-ski programme this year, including spectacular fireworks, a magical performance and a delicious film treat!
