These are strange times and, although we’re very optimistic that ISSC 2021 will be able to go ahead as planned, we understand that your school may not quite be ready to allow you to book your team’s place just yet.
But don’t worry, we’ve put in place a couple of new initiatives to help your racers get racing again.
1 – ISSC’s Book with Confidence Covid Guarantee
Our Book with Confidence Covid Guarantee is designed to help your school feel confident enough to allow you to book your team’s place right now.
That’s because, if you need to cancel within 30 days of the event due to Covid restrictions, you’ll receive a full refund.
So, if you’re unable to attend ISSC 2021 because the DfE advises against overnight school trips to France, or the FCDO advises against travel to France, then you’re covered.
You’re also covered if you’ll be required to quarantine on arrival in France or on return to the UK, if local or national lockdowns prevent you from travelling or if local restrictions mean the event cannot take place. 2 – Opening Up to Individual Racers
Our Book with Confidence Covid Guarantee is pretty comprehensive and should give most schools the confidence to allow their teams to book their places safe in the knowledge that they will get a refund if Covid affects their participation in the event.
However, we know that some schools will still be reluctant to allow their teams to book. If this is the case with your school, you’ll be pleased to know that your racers will still have the opportunity to race at ISSC 2021.
That’s because we’re opening up bookings to individuals this year.
All racers must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and they can still choose to represent their team, but we will not be requiring a minimum number of students per school this year – so any racer who wants to compete is welcome to sign up!
We’re able to take deposits from parents directly, so if your students do book individually, you won’t need to deal with the paperwork – we’ll sort everything out directly with the parents.
Racers can still choose to add specialist race training and we can also arrange for your school’s race team manager to attend the event if they would like to.
